wet and wrinkled

I probably should’ve ironed this before taking the photo.  Sewing with Sulky stabilizer is a piece of cake; just sew on the printed lined.  But to get rid of the temporary stabilizer, it needs to be soaked in water a few minutes.

Water plus cotton fabric plus quilting equals wrinkles.  I used a dark orange fabric on this one to make the quilting stand out.  I may or may not do that on all of the squares.

I made the decision before I started this project to vary the colors from block to block.  The idea I’ve been following is to pick 3 adjoining colors on the color wheel.
