I got the call yesterday that my Sweet Sixteen was finished and ready for pickup. And it was about half what I expected to pay which was a bonus. It was raining at lunch so I didn’t want to take a chance of slipping; I left my still non-working sewing machine at home but told the manager the error message I had been getting on my sewing machine.
Oh, that sounds like a fuse that needs to be replaced.
Really? All this time and the only thing it needs is a new fuse? Seriously? Needless to say, I found time after work to go drop my machine off. Yes, it will be a while longer before that one is ready but that Featherweight just sews like a dream so I’m not in a big hurry for it.
I have 2 sets that I’m planning to make out of the lavender fabric I bought the other day. The large photo here is the first block I’ll make; I’m going to try a few more variations before I settle on its second block – I might try the dark fabric in the middle and see if there’s enough contrast between the other fabrics to make that work also.
And no, the little flowers in the corner do not match 100% to each other, and I’m okay with that.
AccuQuilt has come out with some more combo boxes, including drunkard’s path. And they also have a box with several dies from Edyta Sitar. I’ve made 2 quilts recently from her fabric collection, and her dies are just as fantastic so I’m looking forward to seeing those.
I really like this color combination with the purples and the yellows. Very striking!

Hmmm… well, it’s still showing up wonky on my end. I typically go in through Firefox to view my comments and respond from there (I think that’s easier than their app). The link itself shows up as graybarndesigns.com.wordpress.com and when I click on it, it says graybarndesigns.wordpress.com doesn’t exist . I don’t know if that’s any help!
