I don’t know what other companies call it, but sometimes if I’ve had “one of those weeks”, I’ll take Friday off as a spontaneous vacation day just to clear my head. Today was a bank holiday in the U.S. – Columbus day – and the school was out so I took the day off to do a few things with our son. Important stuff, like going to Game Stop to get some Pokemon card. I have no idea what this is; I just know once a month I drive him over there and they give him something free and he’s happy.
I did have some time to get some sewing in before he woke up though so I made some headway on the quilt for my nephew. I have 2 observations. One – I love this fabric! It’s just so soft and cuddly. I don’t know if Moda sells this as a wide back but this would be great for the back of a quilt as well. Second – Libs Elliott does a fantastic job with directions. She explains everything so clearly and concisely and her organizational skills just shine through.
Yesss! I can’t wait to see this finished quilt. I love your fabric choices.
Thank you!
Yay for mental health!! Yay for the son getting something free, and being happy!
Yes indeed!
Sometimes a mental health day when you really need it will save you having to take four sick days later.
So true!
Ohhhh, these are great fabrics! I like the subtle patterns AND it will be soft and warm! Sew on!
