Last week had a lot of unexpected turns; I’ll talk about that at a later date but I’ve been playing catch-up on quilting. I actually knocked out blocks 95 and 96 yesterday but I’ll save 96 for tomorrow. It’s so strange to look at my design wall and see that I’m nearly out of places to pin the blocks.
My husband is confused as to why I haven’t started sewing any of the blocks together but I want to wait until I get the last ones up so that I’m 100% sure. It’s probably going to take a couple of weeks or more to sew all of those together anyway so I don’t see the hurry.
In the meantime, I bought a really cool attachment for my long arm called Precise Pantograph System. It is a non-computerized set of pieces which bring the light used for pantographs down to a lower level which makes it easier to control, but most importantly it moves the laser light off the machine and to the left so that it’s really easy to see the pattern.
I was really amazed at how fast I was able to quilt a row on it. Pantographs are great for quilting something quickly. As you can see, there’s a lot of negative space where I used this so it honestly was crying out instead for some custom quilting that was denser but I did what I wanted anyway – haha!

I’ve thinking about you! Hope everything has sorted itself out OK. I have this block cut, but just finished with navy thread yesterday, so now I can load up the neutrals and get current. I was glad to see your post this am.
Thank you! My mom passed away so I was gone several days to be with her when I found out she wasn’t going to make it, then I was gone again for several days to lay her to rest out of state next to Dad.
