I’ve quilted the main portion of the quilt and now I’m on the corners which are just big open spaces. I’ve spent a couple of weeks trying to figure out what I was going to put in here.
It’s definitely not done yet; in fact, I’m not even done with one of four corners yet. I spent time yesterday trying out all sorts of different stencils that would work well together.
Dividing spaces is still a challenge for me. I quilted the pattern that will go next to the edges – it’s not in this photo but it’s a rope design. And then I quilted the open half diamond shapes shown at the bottom of this photo. Now I’m quilting down the filler between those with alternating squares. Scribbling in those squares takes about 4-5 minutes each so I did make a lot of headway yesterday – but when I got to the end of the day and realized how much more I had to go, I wished I had divided the space again with a separate filler.
so amazing
It is looking really good so far! Patience, my dear!!
A lot of work but it will be beautiful when it’s done.
