flowering sashes

2016-06-14 16.12.26 I managed to get through stay stitching all of the Bloom quilt over lunch.  I think I got used to working on large quilts that I forgot how quickly it goes on a regular throw sized quilt.

I went to get the spool of Sulky Ecru thread and realized I have not one, two, or three…but 4 spools of it.  I don’t remember if I got a deal on it or if I just keep ordering it because it’s my go-to thread.

I decided to do vines and leaves on the sashes and individual flowers for each of the individual squares.   2016-06-14 16.13.11

I’m going to be out of pocket for most of the next 3 days so there will be very little sewing done and nearly all of it will be hand sewing.

  1. Sew gorgeous! I’m envious of your talent at hand sewing! It doesn’t happen here.

    1. Haha! Thanks!

Love the fabrics. Vintage or remakes? 💛

    1. They are remakes. The line is by Lori Holt. I really like the fabrics; they are very forgiving when it comes to sewing.
