Block 74 – Button Basket

img_20161028_212700.jpgI’ll have to make this quick.  It’s fabulous weather in our corner of the world today and we are headed out the door in a minute.  I actually finished this one up last night.  I had some rick rack so I thought I would use that for the basket handle instead of attempting another curve.  I changed out the top thread to black to match, then used whatever that stitch is that does it in triplicate and….that ends up stitching the bobbin thread on the top – which I hadn’t changed out!  There’s an extra step in mine that involved the use of a black Sharpie to get rid of that otherwise grey thread.  I didn’t realize yesterday when I was sewing the other block that this one actually called for 2 buttons so I made another trip out for buttons.

I have to say as far as designs go, this one is one of my favorites!  It just looks….cute!  Have a great day everyone!

Block envy here! I finally got started, but I’m only up to block 19. At least I can look forward to this little cutie!

    1. That’s actually good progress! I started working on Thursday’s today. I don’t have it done yet. Then I’ll work on today’s next. I still have last Sunday’s that I haven’t even started. That one is embroidery which is my least favorite.
