It took me a week, I still don’t have the sashing on here but the hard part is done. This week’s block had the most pieces yet on a block which was part of the reason it took he longer. A very busy work week that had me working through lunch and late into the evenings didn’t leave me a lot of free time.
I didn’t feel at the time that I was rushing through, and yet this is still not my best work. It is the best I had available at the time though.
I love this block! I am in a new phase of quilting with needle turned applique. I am having a blast working through the 1857 wedding quilt . Anyway, I love the design and also the fabric colors.
I just saw it on your blog – how beautiful! I have a friend in Indiana who is doing one similar to yours. She’s busy adding prairie points around the edges. I love the fabric from that era.
